This is a magical space, a place for witchcraft and other nonsense.
Most importantly, it’s a place for truth. One of the truest feelings I’ve felt in my life is loneliness, the inevitability that we are only ourselves, and no one else. It’s not only a feeling, it’s a fact. It’s liberating, simple and occasionally sad. But in our loneliness, we can be together, and that is the experience of truth.
I am originally a poet and a writer. Born in Norway, I moved to Paris six years ago, and have been basking in the marvel and trial this existence has proven to be. Is it the city, the country, or is it me? Stay tuned to find out … I write about food, wine and feelings, having published a book of poetry on the latter in 2021 called Meditations on Loneliness.
My thoughts will slide into your mailbox once a week. This project is a living organism and might take many shapes and forms. When working with emotions, poetry and truth, there’s really no way of predicting which direction things will go. Are you ready for a ride? I’d take a sea sickness pill if I were you. Especially paying subscribers!
It will be real, it might be hilarious, and it could be a kick in the gut at times. Don’t worry, I know you need a good cry. You can yell at me in the comment section later.
